A summer clerkship is the first step in your career with Mayne Wetherell.
Our summer clerks have the opportunity to be involved with a range of corporate and finance transactions where you are encouraged to ask questions and apply the legal and financial knowledge and skills you have acquired at university in a practical sense.
You will engage with lawyers on all levels, from recent graduates through to partners, to gain a good understanding of complex corporate and financial concepts and learn how to apply these to meet the commercial needs of our clients.
Our summer clerks slot straight into our practice, being assigned to teams working on real transactions that are underway at the time. This hands-on experience is complemented by a specialised training programme which provides a macro view of our practice and the law that underpins it.
Your training and development begins on your very first day and will continue throughout your career with the firm. We are focused on growing and developing our young lawyers to achieve their potential. Every member of the firm is committed to teaching and training our junior lawyers, because we know that is how we will remain market leaders.
In order to apply for this role, you will need to upload a copy of your CV, cover letter and academic transcript.
